DOG FORMED WATER HOLDER

A fine blue and white puppy-form mizuzashi (water holder). The animal shown standing four square with raised curled tail. The hind quarters decorated in blackish blue with the floral elements in shallow relief. The removable head decorated with a single flaming pearl in relief, also in blackish blue, behind a single bow.

SATUSUMA COCKEREL

A rare pottery mizuzashi (water holder) in the form of a cockerel. The bird with raised comb, wattles and ear lobes. The feathers in green, black, terracotta and gold.

"Nihon-Kyoto, Sakurada-Korewo-Tukuru" Made by Sakurada at Kyoto, Japan.
